Auction description:
The Zoute Sale
|8 October 2023, 13:00 CEST|
Knokke-Heist, Le Zoute
957 Jaguar XK140 SE Roadster
Chassis no. S 813242
Engine no. G 9951-8S
• Special Equipment model
• Original left-hand drive
• Matching chassis, engine, and cylinder head numbers
• Restored in the USA circa 2011
• Present ownership since 12 years
According to its accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, this beautifully restored XK 140 SE Roadster left the factory on 24th January 1957 and was despatched to Jaguar Cars, New York on 5th February of that same year. The certificate also confirms the matching-number engine ('G 9951-8S') and lists the original colour combination as British Racing Green with Tan interior and Gunmetal soft-top.
The matching-numbers XK140 SE has covered only 3,860 miles since a complete body-off restoration was completed in 2011 in the USA. Our vendor purchased the car from Fantasy Junction of Emeryville, California in August 2011. Benefiting from a service carried out by Garage Paul Sorel BV in April 2023 (which included a new battery and four new Michelin tyres) the Jaguar is presented in exceptional condition. The related invoice for €3,420 is on file and the car also comes with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate; the 2011 bill of sale; and Belgian title and 2012 technical inspection. An unmissable opportunity to purchase a beautifully restored XK 140 SE Roadster that ticks all the boxes.
