Almost certainly the english registration number NRW252 is wrong for this car my records show it has having been registered by a Mr Clark 29 june 1955 as NWK252 and the colour being cream!
engine and chassis numbers are the same so the same car but?

Terry, your note is very interesting. The information I posted to the database comes directly from the JDHT record which I obtained for this car. The original owner was A. Clark, original colors Cream with Red, and collectected at Jaguars under Personal Export Delivery, registration NRW 252. I can certainly understand a clerical error on the books as "NWK" is also a coventry mark. I would be interested to know the sourche of your data as I intend to have some reproduction UK plates made up eventually and I would prefer to have the correct ones!

Further research supports Terry McGrath's contention that the Personal Export Delivery registration mark NRW 252 shown on the JDHT Certificate for this car is not correct. The actual number is indeed NWK252. The NRW sequence was replaced by NWK during April, 1955, and this car, being registered at the end of June, would have been issued the latter code.
