This particular XK 140 is a Special Car! I have owned it for over 20 years and have driven it sparingly to keep it exercised. The car is beautiful. In fact, I have never taken it out in the rain. Truth be known, it's probably because I don't relish re-polishing those wire wheels! This 1956 Drop Head Coupe underwent a professional frame-off restoration in 1994. I know the history of this vehicle since the restoration and it has been driven less than 10,000 miles since it was restored. Car has always been garaged. Car runs beautifully and is a real show stopper. This is a Drop Head Coupe, but when it was restored, it was outfitted with a custom, removable hardtop that easily clips on and off. The custom hardtop, when installed, looks nearly identical to the Fixed Head Coupe model, so with this particular car you get both looks. Note pictures, attached. My wife and I married 6 years ago and the car was a prominent fixture in our departure from the church.
