History:
First registered on 11th August 1955, this LHD car was supplied new to the United States of America. Although it comes with very little history, it is said to have had only two owners in America, the second of whom owned it from 1960 right up until his death in 2005. Imported to the UK from Los Angeles earlier this year, it needed only a new fuel pump and brake master cylinder to pass its MOT which is valid until February 2007.

The interior appears to have been re-trimmed at some stage in the not-too-distant past in black leather and a black vinyl roof has also been added ? probably in the early 1970s when such things were perhaps a bit more fashionable than they are now!

At some point the car has also been fitted with a triple carb 4.2 E-Type engine which currently sports C-Type rocker covers. The vendor is not sure what other modifications have been made to the engine, but he does state that it drives very well and feels exceptionally fast for an XK140. It further benefits from a two-into-one performance exhaust.

Altogether a rare and exciting car that is ready to jump into and enjoy.
