Purchased 20 October, 2011 in Annapolis, MD. Prior owner traded a Mk II for it on 09/20/1971, near Sikeston, MO. His wife took her driver's test in it.

Vehicle appears to have been built in late Sept., 1955, a 1956 model year, not 1957 as identified on the title.mmm

Ploddingly slow restoration. Frame sandblasted, painted with POR, engine rebuilt by PO in 1994 awaiting teardown inspection, and original body sitting on spare chassis. Preparing for dip tank.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
