Ebay item 7/5/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-120-140-150-140-FHC-Special-Equipment-Model-/1 ...
Current bid $15,555 reserve not met, 7 bids 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
XK 140 Fixed head coupe-FHC returned to Heritage Certificate specs, pastel blue with red leather interior. "Special Equipment Model" stated on Heritage Certificate. All new interior, all wood refinished, bumpers and exterior trim rechromed, brakes rebuilt, professional paint work back to original factory lead fillers, numbers matching car, new Coker whitewalls including spare, runs very strong and fast, sounds like a Jag should- deep and loud. Does not smoke has typical small jaguar seeps- nothing major, radiator rebuilt, 2-6 volt batteries replaced with 1-12 volt, Tach,Speedo, and all gauges work, all lights- int/ext/trunk work, all wiring is is good condition. Nothing to do but drive it.
Look very close at how complete this car is versus others listed with much higher reserves- slide out drawer in lower center of dash is there (this is missing on almost all cars listed), all knobs on dash are there and in great condition, splash shields in wheel wells, all original wood trim and dash- not reproductions, original rechromed fog lights, no loose wires/cables hanging down under car or dash, all original interior lamp covers in place and working. I intentionally did not paint the frame and chose to leave as original so there would be no question about its integrity as opposed to the possibility that rust/corrosion was masked by paint. I first bought this car 1/23/1991 and have driven and maintained it since then.
The previous owner said the car was in St Loius until he bought it approx. 1966. The paint was completed in March 2010, the interior in June 2010. It looks and smells factory fresh.
