Seller's description:
Jaguar XK 140 FHC SE MINT CONDITION! matching numbers
We now have a 1956 Jaguar XK 140 Fixed Head Coupe Special Equipment in absolute top condition available. Supplied from new by the Hollywood, Californian Jaguar dealer Hornburg on the 28th March 1956 and exported from Long Beach, California to Holland on the 4th of June 1963. In 2003 it had completed a top to bottom and inside-out restoration, executed using various top Dutch Jaguar specialists in order to achieve the cars` original specifications. It has therefore the matching numbers engine, and has been finished in 'Black over Red' The whole process was extensively documented and photographed. It was no surprise that it won the 2003 summer Jaguar/Daimler concourse prize! The fact that over the last 15 years the car has been driven with the upmost care shows in the cars` quality to this day! The wonderful straight bodywork has a perfect coat of paint. The interior and chrome work is also in top condition. Mechanically the car is in a splendid working and driving order. It has chrome wire wheels and the C-type cylinder head. Only 396 Jaguar XK 140 FHC Special Equipment automatics were ever produced and this top quality one comes fully documented!
