This 1957 Jaguar XK140 MC is a non-driving FHC project that was purchased by the seller’s father in 1963 and placed into storage in the early 1970s. It is finished in blue over blue and is equipped with a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ wire wheels, dual carburetors, and chrome bumpers. This XK140 MC project is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of his mother with spare and removed parts and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in blue and features a split windshield, vent windows, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller notes that the seals are cracked, and areas of rust are visible.
Silver 16″ knock-off wire wheels wear two-ear spinners, and a matching spare is included in the sale. The car is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes.
The seats are trimmed in blue, and the transmission tunnel upholstery, the left door panel, and the carpets have been removed and will accompany the vehicle. A portion of the wooden floor is missing and the seller notes that the woodwork and trim are damaged.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 50k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with a C-type cylinder head and linked to a four-speed manual transmission. The cam covers have been removed and are included in the sale. The car was reportedly driven until 1970, and the seller states that it emitted smoke when the engine was last tested in the early 1990s.
An XK120 cylinder head is included in the sale.
The car is titled using the engine number from the chassis tag (G94568S).
