Motor for this car listed for sale on BAT 4/16/20
bringatrailer.com/listing/jaguar-xk140-mc-3-4-liter/

Seller's description:
Lot #30173
Seller: holdenwallace
Location: Winnsboro, Texas 75494
3,442cc Inline-Six
Built for Jaguar XK140 MC
C-Type Cylinder Head
Dual SU Carburetors
Numbers-Matching Head and Block
Exhaust Manifolds
Crated for Shipping
Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

This 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six was originally produced for a Jaguar XK140 MC and retains its numbers-matching cast-iron block and aluminum C-Type cylinder head. The seller states that the head was installed on a 1957 XK140 MC he purchased four years ago and was later removed from the car and reunited with the block offered here. This XK140 MC engine is now offered in Winnsboro, Texas.

This unit is fitted with dual SU carburetors that are missing their fuel overflow tubes, spacers, and throttle coupler. The starter carburetor is missing its vacuum line to the intake manifold. Both front and rear exhaust manifolds are present.

The block is finished in black, and stamping G3614-8S indicates that this 3.4-liter inline-six was built for an XK140. The “8S” suffix indicates a factory compression ratio of 8:1 and a C-Type cylinder head. The seller notes that he reassembled the timing chains when he reinstalled the cylinder head. The seller reports that the engine rotates freely and that a few nuts and bolts are missing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
