This 1956 Jaguar XK140 MC Drophead Coupe is finished in black over a tan leather interior and has been with the current owner since 1964. A comprehensive restoration was carried out by RMR Restorations of Hollis, New Hampshire between 2005 and 2014, reportedly entailing more than 3,100 hours of work and over $300k in cost. Power is supplied by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six, which retains a numbers-matching block and comes paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Approximately 6,000 miles have been added since the restoration was completed, and this XK140 is now being offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, photos and receipts from the restoration, and a clear New Hampshire title.

Receipts from the restoration can be viewed in the gallery, including $219k for work performed from January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2013. Another $100k was reportedly spent to finish the restoration in 2014. In-person inspections are welcome at the seller’s facility, Historic Motor Sports in Candia, New Hampshire.
