Current bid $14,100.00 (Reserve not met), 13 bids, 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1957 XK 140 Drophead Coupe.Very few automatics were produced. It is a matching numbers car with a "S" engine. The last inspection sticker was from 1973, this was when the previous owner took the car off the road and started a restoration. Before he was able to complete the process he passed away and the car has sat in dry storage ever since.

The overall condition of the car is very good. The engine turns over. The original factory colors were red with red interior. The chassis is in excellent condition. The front left fender has a small amount of filler, it is not filling in rot it was for body work only. The metal under the headlights is rust free. The bottoms of the front fenders are in excellent condition. The A posts are in good condition. The B posts have been previously repaired and they will need to be reviewed. The back fenders are in good condition. The sheet metal behind the seats is in very good condition. The bottom of the firewall is in very good condition. The car comes with many new parts.

The car is a restoration project and is being sold "as is". The car is sold with a bill of sale and Georgia registration. Georgia does not require nor issue titles for cars of this age. The paper work that comes with the car is all that is needed to export.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
