4 speed
wire wheels
C - Type Head
A Lady owned vehicle for investment decides to sell.Comes in Black with partiallly original interior.Overall a very original XK that comes with the original numbers match engine with the added addition of the C - Type racing head.Runs and drives well. This one has never really been restored.Chassis is still all original with minimal rust. This is not by any means a rusty XK140dhc.VERY DRY CHASSIS!!!The body lines up perfectly. One of the straightest ones Ive seen in yrs.Panel fit is excellent all way around including those heavy doors! Interior has been partially re fitted at one time, the rest being original. All correct guages and dash knobs etc. This 140 has almost all of it's original hardware.Even the Triplex glass is all original.
We are a shop that specialises in these cars for restoration and service/sales so please call me directly at 303 668 4555 for questions. My name is Stephen
This car would be great for a driver or someone who wants to restore it completely. With Drophead prices climbing into the $150/160 range finished there is plenty of room for restoration. No overdrive.

Auction description:
1956 Jaguar XK140SE Drophead Coupe
Reg – Swiss Registered
Chassis S818683
Originally delivered to the United States of America, this elegant lefthand drive example was imported to Switzerland in 2007. It was at Araphes SA, established and well respected classic car specialists, that a sympathetic restoration took place. It was not the subject of a national debt sized restoration but undertaken by professionals who appreciate the value of patina and 'feel'. The engine was taken out and rebuilt, new pistons, carburettors and ancillaries were incorporated into the project and, complete with the C-Type head, now produces an exhaust note to make the hairs on ones back stand up. The body was taken back to metal, repaired where necessary and re-painted in the original black. The hood has been replaced by a superior Mohair unit, the exhaust is now stainless steel and the wire wheels are reported to be in excellent condition by the vendor. This car has been restored with a lower case r; it took over a year and is now in excellent mechanical and structural condition. It embodies what a Jaguar is all about safe in the knowledge that this particularly rare example will not break down and still look fabulous from any angle in another 58 years.
Estimate €70,000-€90,000
