Ebay description provided by the XK Gazette, Market Observer:

S824053DN 1957 September 150 Fixed Head Red (Bonnet only) Engine V 1682-8, Body J 7542, G/box JLS 38234CR amazingly all match. UK reg RTR 150 a valuable item if still available at DVLA and well worth the current bid or perhaps considerably more.
As the picture shows this is a fairly complete rolling chassis that has been stored for 25 years. Butchered by a previous owner to make a “ Fun Car “. A brilliant find as a restoration project and an early example – only 30 earlier survivors are known including prototype XB 1001. Located in Gwynedd Wales. Current bid £3,800

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
