    Description from above seller:
1957 - 3.4 manual - Fixed Head Coupe with original Webasto sunroof Chassis N. S824084DN Engine N. V 1791-8 Owned by Joe Davies, the world famous Welsh snooker player Purchased by the present owner when living in England in July 89 with 35.997certified miles on the clock Over the last 23 years the car has been kept in a dry heated garage, regularly maintained and used normally al least once a month. Present mileage: 40.609 When living in UK the owner had a Classic Cars collection including 7 Jaguars ranging from the 2.5 SS Saloon to the V12 E-Type, this car was the one Jag chosen when he moved to Tuscany - Italy In 1993 the car passed the very strict "A.S.I. - Automotoclub Storico Italiano" homologation in the top category (golden plate) The car is available for tests at the owners premises in the hills near Lucca (Italy) 35 minutes drive from Pisa Airport. The only reason for selling this car, which happens to be the last survivor in the garage after the "eviction" of the Bentley Mk6 followed by the sale of the Flaminia Zagato, is the wife's request on rainy days to park her car in the dry. After 20 years of "can you get rid of that museum piece?" the owner gave in!

The original UK reg. of this car was PUJ 40 (Shropshire). It would have been re-registered XCA 400 (Denbighshire) probably during the first three months of 1961.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
