Jaguar XK150 Special Equipment A true;barn find, this 1957 XK150 SE, correctly fitted with wires, has;been languishing in a barn for some fifteen years; part restored and mostly complete. This particular car is a very early genuine UK RHD XK150, originally British Racing Green with Suede Green interior, one of the more desirable colour combinations. The restoration work to date extends to a chassis refurbishment including painting it, the chassis does appear to be a good straight one. There has obviously been rust in the usual;places, the general body is;mid way through being put together.;The car comes complete with new sills, shut faces, and adds & sods of new panels - these apparently;were all supplied by Bill Lawrence. The hinge boxes;appear to have been done, together with generally dealing with the;steel panel work;from front bulkhead forward. There are a;pair of good;rear wings with the car and a pair of;decent doors that have had lower;skins replaced (however still require tidying up). The boot lid has some perforation in the lower edge and the rear tonneau has had repairs on the lower valance area which requires finishing.;; The; engine and box are still together as a single unit, complete with carbs and;ancillary's and apparently a runner when pulled out of the car and still turns freely. The radiator has been recored. So what are we missing? Well certainly bumpers, although there are some irons present; the drivers door chrome window surround and front quarter light for it, one window winder mechanism I think, door handles (boot handle is present & chrome strip inc.;badge), bonnet badge and chrome center strip, front lights, front windscreen & surround, front two doors;main;window glass, rear screen surround (rear screen is present), one door card (new door card boards are with it); there are bound to be other bits however they will only be minor items. On the up side there are additional items such as spare carbs, an XK120 sump as well as a later;sump, and;various duplicate parts.; Wheels appear in;decent condition and the car rolls easily, which;is always a plus. This Jaguar XK150;is available to be viewed in Cheshire. Currently being offered for sale.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
