Car offered for Sale in New Zealand. Asking price $55,000 NZ dollars.

Speedo reading is miles not Km's
This car was purchased in 1999 whilst I was living in the UK. I used it on many Jaguar Enthusiast Club events throughout Europe, and brought it back with me when I returned to New Zealand in 2004.
I purchased the car because it was and still is in very original condition and retains its patina of age. As you can see from the photos it still retains its original interior etc.
Mechanically it is excellent, body and chassis wise there is no rot, although it has several blemishes in the paintwork. & the front over-riders could do with re-chroming. Bear in mind this car is nearly 50 years old!
Sadly I don't get to use it as mutch as it deserves, so I would like to see it go to someone who would use it and cherish it.
Please email me if you have any questions or would like more information.

Offered for sale again by same owner as above entry. He has added a bit more info on its history which is below. He is asking $48,000 NZ.

    ----------------------
The car came off the production line in the UK on the 13th November 1957, and was dispatched to the selling dealer on the 30th December 1958. It was first registered in Sheffield on the 6th March 1958. Its original registration number was 7373WB which it still carries to this day (NZ Personal Number). There are two major variations from its original state that I have discovered during my ownership. The car was originally painted Dove Grey but at some stage in its life it has been repainted in black. Also sadly the engine that is currently fitted is not the engine with which it left the factory. It is a period replacement and judging from the number came from a 3.4 Jaguar Mk 1. I suppose that at some stage during its 53 year life that engine must have expired.

Prior to my purchase the vehicle formed part of a private collection in Portugal, and as far as I can tell it has only had 2 owners in the last 23 years.

The car comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate an a file full of receipts for work done on the car during my ownership.

    Seller's description:

This is a very rare opportunity to be the custodian of a very original example of one of the truly great classics of the 1950s.

Actual car as featured on the cover of Paul Skilliters book on theXK series

I have been the keeper since 2010 and have only made necessary repairs to try and retain her originality. She has spent most of her life in England and laterly Portugal before coming to NZ in 2005. I have extensive documented history(see photos of part of history) She was exported from Portugal to the UK and sold at auction by Coys of Kensington for Mr Oliveira who's entire collection of classics were sold at the same time. At some stage in her early life her engine was replaced with a period type and was resprayed Black in cellulose from Pearl Grey.Extensive history proving her mileage of 65,000.There is no rust or damage just a few blemishes pertaining to her age. she is rust free and has never been damaged, no filler anywhere on the bodywork.

If you chose to to restore (in my opinion a great mistake) she could be brought up to concours at minimum cost.

Comes with manuals and several books on the Mark. See updated photos of engine bay as requested.
