Seller's description:
This is a 1959 Jaguar XK150 FHC, finished in Mist Grey with a red leather interior. The car has covered 55,000 believed genuine miles from new, this is the correct mileage and is incredibly low for any XK.
This 4 owner example was purchased new in 1959 by a Mr. R. Webb and passed to his son M. Webb in 1988 who owned the car until 2006. A letter in the history file indicates the car had covered 46,000 miles from new at this stage, when she was purchased by a Mr. P Cooper who sold the car after 6 years to Mr, N. Bardsley in 2012. The previous owner and Jaguar enthusiast acquired the car in 2014. Since then it has been well loved, kept garaged and used sparingly for weekend drives.
The paint, chrome and interior present beautifully. We have recently driven the car extensively and she drives wonderfully, sitting comfortably in traffic and easily capable of long motorway cruises without hesitation.
The exhaustive history file contains the majority of previous MoT Certificates dating back to 1976 and invoices from all the previous owners lovingly separated and dated. Each previous owner is represented in a meticulous individual file, covering the huge amount of work, improvements and repairs completed over the course of the cars fascinating history. Each individual custodian has kept masses of paperwork. For example, invoices on file indicate that between 2009-2010 the car underwent extensive restoration works by P & K Thornton Restorations in Birmingham at a cost of over £10,000, including a full re-trim of the interior. Also included is the V5, an original service and maintenance handbook and a CD containing pictures of previous renovations.
This wonderful example in fantastic colours drives beautifully and looks fantastic. Accompanied by a fascinating history file, this XK150 represents great value.
