The example offered here is a three former owner XK150 3.4 FHC SE model. The car was rebuilt from 2005, taking 5 years to complete, and this included galvanised chassis, all new wheel bearings, new prop UJs, Polybush suspension, new headlining, new rear interior (except seating), new door cards, new wiring loom, conversion to alternator (negative earth), front disc conversion to SNG Barrett 3 pot calipers, standard rear disc brakes (all brakes rebuilt including handbrake), and new under felt to floor. The car also benefits from Pirrelli P6000 215 x 16 tyres with excellent tread depth, on MWS wire wheels.
The engine has been rebuild to standard spec by VSE, with the carb & distributor rebuild at the same time by VSE. The overdrive gearbox has been changed in the cars life as the number doesn't match, but it all works well and has been inspected, and is in good order. The overdrive unit has been professionally rebuilt.
The body number matches as well as the engine number, and the seats and carpets are original. The car is mechanically sound but it does need some finishing. It has been used regularly all year round, and although not concours, it is a nice, usable, reliable example in full working order. Unfortunately the vendors ill health forces sale.
Sold For: Sold £35,860
