This car has been confused with S824920DN.
S824920DN was registered 400 HKE, with engine number V6978-8 original paint BRG, interior Suede Green.
S824930DN was registered ODY 437 with engine number V6992-8, original paint Cotswold Blue, interior Dark Blue.
It looks like the photos relate to S824920DN.

PaulW I have no record of 824920 nor is it listed on here. The reg ODY437 is equally unknown. Nor does eng V 6992-8 register on any known 150 survivor. Does 824920 exist anywhere??

Peter, the information about 824920, reg ODY 437, came to me from David Bentley.

Peter, sorry my typo, ODY 437 is 824930.

A check with DVLA says this is 400 HKE. The reg ODY 437 is not known

There's certainly some confusion over these 2 cars.
The information I recorded from the Kent vehicle registration record book held by the Kent archive reads:
400 HKE
Date: 8.9.59
Registered Owner: Gardener ES Mr.
Class, Make & Chassis Number: P (private); Jaguar; S824920DN
Agent: Wards Service Garage Ltd
David Bentley has information on S824920DN and S824930DN recorded from the factory records at JDHT which seems to confirm this.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
