Details
This lovely, mainly original example of the XK150 is offered with low warranted miles (64,000) which is supported by a substantial number of MoT certificates. The car has had just 4 owners, has been used sparingly throughout its life and was dry stored for over 10 years.

Bodywork and paintwork are said to be excellent thanks to a bare metal repaint and colour change from the original grey. The car is now finished in ivory with the original, red leather, interior which has the right amount of patina, the car also retains the original mechanical components, which the vendor states are in good condition. The 3.4XK engine is said to have a glorious exhaust note.

The car is offered complete with substantial invoices , old MoT certificates, current MoT, V5C document and two sets of wire wheels. There is a set of original painted wire wheels, equipped with cross-ply tyres and a set of chrome wires, to original pattern and size, which are equipped with radial tyres. The painted wheels for winter use and the chrome for summer.

This very original, low mileage XK was acquired, by the vendor, some 6 years ago, since when it has been recommissioned and used on a regular basis.

Estimate £37000-41000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
