Classic Jaguar XK 150 DHC 1957 for sale
This car was first delivered to Australia and for this reason it is a right hand drive car. There were only 662 right hand drive Jaguar XK 150 DHC cars built in total. The owner of today bought the car in Singapore where a major restoration began almost 20 years ago. Later, it was sent back to Europe and the restoration was completed by a company in Germany. After the car was completed, it has travelled approximately 25000km. Some long trips to Switzerland were made.
As you can see on the pictures, it is tastefully finished off in black with a red leather interior and grey pipings. There is no rust to be found anywhere, but it naturally shows that it has been used. There are some small cracks and chips in the paint and the soft top outer canvas is starting to show some wear. However, all in all it is a very presentable and elegant car that will give you many thumbs up when you turn in to the gas station. The chrome spoke wheels are still in condition like new and it has a good set of radial tyres.
Engine: This is a matching number engine and the S in the serial number indicates special equipment such as originaly delivered with crome spoke wheels etc. The serial number of the car is S827003DN
The gearbox was replaced for a synchronized one and the overdrive makes it purr like a kitten even in highway speed. The car has been carefully maintained by a local Jaguar specialist and it comes with a large history file and also lots of documentation from the restoration. Everything works on the car and it has got a recent inspection from the Swedish Technical Control Authority. Cars more than 30 years old need to be checked every two years in Sweden. We have some more images of what the car looks like underneath and the condition of the soft top if you are seriously looking in to buying this beauty.
Please let us know if you have any further questions in regards to this vehicle. We are located very close to Copenhagen airport and will be happy to pick you up if you are coming to see one of our cars. This car is in a very healthy mechanical state and can be driven anywhere. Transport of the car from Sweden to major cities such as Frankfurt is no more than 600€ while back to UK would be less.

Seller's description:
The owners and car collector had owned the car since 2015 and had driven it frequently during some beautiful summer weekends; it is a very easy car to drive and has that amazing sounding 3.4 straight six engine paired with an overdrive manual gearbox. The car was imported from Germany in 2001, and according to the papers and images, it was professionally renovated in the early 1990s by "Danner & Kessemeier" in Germany. You can tell the car has been well maintained by its current condition, which is still in fine shape. The chassis plate with engine number "V2591-8" matches the same engine stamp, and being car number 3 in the manufacturing series, it was one of the first to leave the factory. The current mileage of 61597 miles is probably 161597 but can be verified.
Year 1958/1958

Interior finish Leather

Mechanical condition:
Serviced and reviewed once a year, driven frequently throughout the summer, and stored in a heated garage. It clearly explains how to maintain and own such a car. Everything works and the car is simple to drive.
Interior condition:
Nice and clean front and rear red leather seats with grey pipping. Good carpets and door cards and missing window wider on the drivers door. Dashboard and leather dashboard top in nice condition with original smith gauges.
Exterior condition:
The older repaint has held up well and has a nice lustre, however there are a few small paint cracks on the tops of the wings near the windscreen and a few small paint bubbles on the passenger wing. The bodywork is free of rust and straight and neat in the panels; nevertheless, the doors may need to be adjusted somewhat because they stick out a little on the lower edges. The underbody is clean and solid, with no odd welding. The cabriolet roof is complete with the exception of a 5cm rip in the centre. The wire wheels and knock hubs are in excellent shape.
General condition:
This is a really handsome car that has been well maintained and driven as a summer car for many years; everything works fine and the car drives well; it just needs some small repairs to be extremely nice. Its perfect for a collector since its the third car ever built in this series.

As mentioned this is the 3rd Right hand drive to be built for the home market, however over 200 Left hand drive DHC had been produced for the export market, starting in March 1957.
