Car to be at Coy's auction 7/09
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

Auction description:
1958 Jaguar XK150
Lot 626
Registration Number: 941 HPF
Chassis Number: S827246BW

The example on offer here was subjected to a comprehensive restoration process between the years of 1970 and 1982. Originally starting life as a 3.4 Litre model with an automatic gearbox, during the restoration process this was changed to a 3.8 Litre model with overdrive and manual transmission.

The car comes complete with a hand-written history from the last owner, who sold the car to the vendor in 2006. It is believed that the engine was rebuilt in 2005. The vendor describes it as now being in good general condition throughout.

Also comes complete with a history file containing most of the car’s invoices, old MoT certificates and tax discs, and has a current MoT certificate valid until May 2010. Described as driving very well, this is an excellent chance to acquire one of these classic pieces of British engineering.

Estimate: £38000 - £42000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
