This much sought after Jaguar XK150 Drophead is an original right hand drive car and dates from 1958 and it is a really good example with its Heritage certificate.
The bodywork of this most pretty of cars is in very good condition and it is painted in Old English White and the car comes with a Red leather interior which is alos in good condition. Mechanically this car has the 3400cc six cylinder engine and the four speed manual gearbox with overdrive and it has been prepared for fast road use by Rob Beere racing and the suspension has been uprated and adjustable Konis have been fitted. The 'bottom end' has been blue printed and all rotating parts have been dynamically balanced with the fitting of an A.P. clutch and a core plug strap. Also the 3400cc six cylinder engine has been completely overhauled with gas flowed 1 7/8" valves fitted with a mild 'D' camshaft, a six branch stainless steel exhaust manifold with low pressure, a stainless steel exhaust and 2" SU DH6 carburettors. It also has electronic ignition, a competition coil, an alternator and 130 watt headlamps fitted but all other original parts have been retained.
This superb car has a current M.O.T. certificate until March of next year and it has been with its previous owner for the past ten years and he openly admits that it is not a 'garage' car but a beautiful car to be driven and enjoyed. He sincerely hopes that the new owner will get as much enjoyment from driving it as he did.
