Sellers description:
This stunning 1959 Jaguar XK150 Roadster has been restored and had some really great driving upgrades. This Jaguar XK150 OTS (Open Two Seater) was manufactured on March 24 of 1958. The date of dispatch was April 17 of the 1958. I first bought and sold this car after purchasing it from a JCNA club member and Jaguar collector in 2006. The car then went to a private individual in the south. The owner commissioned a Jaguar shop in 2007 to perform very expensive and extensive modifications to this car to make it a one of a kind XK150 and better than a factory "S." Some more details of this car and some of the work done:
The car was completely stripped and repainted in Imperial Maroon in 2006.
The interior and top were redone prior to our first ownership in 2006 and are in great shape. Also, the chrome and chrome wire wheels were also redone prior to 2006.
An upgraded and fully rebuilt 4.2 e-type (xke) engine was installed in 2007. From what we understand, the rebuilt engine has less than 500 miles on it. The car has great oil pressure and the compression on all 6 cylinders is between 150psi to 160psi
A new and improved 5 speed transmission was installed to make shifting very easy with synchro in all gears. Also, a new clutch and lighter fly wheel were installed.
A new aluminum radiator was installed with an electric fan for better cooling.
A gear reduction starter was installed.
A new fuel pump was also installed.
A stainless steel exhaust system was added and stainless headers.
New wilwood brakes and drilled rotors were installed in the front of the car. All new brake system installed.
Rebuilt triple SU Carburetors were installed with an electric choke.
New insulation added under the carpeting of the cabin to provide for a cooler cabin.
There is no rust and the car has a solid frame.
This car has a Heritage certificate to confirm the Chassis number and body number.
Pictures of the work done are available and some listed below.
Has the original full tool kit, jack, T-bar tool and tools in place for spare tire compartment.
Polyurethane bushings have been installed.
New performance torsion bars were installed as well with new Koni shocks.
A spin on oil filter was installed.
Recently serviced (from sitting and lack of use), old gas drained, carburetors set up and rebuilt and cooling hoses replaced.
Overall this is a great Jaguar XK150 Roadster with so many great upgrades that make this car truly unique and fun to drive. It is very easy and a pleasure to drive. In addition the car is truly stunning cosmetically. This car is a great investment and a wonderful car to enjoy. A great addition or start to any collection.
This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC.

This 1959 Jaguar XK150 roadster is finished in red over red leather upholstery, and power comes from a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, chrome 16″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood front calipers, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, an aluminum radiator, and triple SU carburetors. The car was acquired by the current owner in California approximately five years ago. This XK150 is now offered on dealer consignment with a tool kit, a Jaguar Heritage Record Trace Certificate, partial service records, and a California title.
The car was reportedly refinished in the current shade of red under previous ownership and fitted with a replacement black convertible top. Additional equipment includes full-width chrome bumpers with overriders, a left mirror, a Leaper hood ornament, a one-piece windshield, and dual exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 16″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler ST tires. A full-size spare tire with an older whitewall tire is stored under the trunk floor. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with aftermarket Wilwood front calipers.
The cabin features a split bench seat trimmed in red upholstery with a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Additional equipment includes wind-up side windows, lap belts, a center armrest, a locking glove compartment, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.
A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel wears a Jaguar Coventry horn button and fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 70k miles, though true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with a straight-port cylinder head along with three SU carburetors. An aluminum radiator and aftermarket exhaust headers have also been added.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
The Jaguar Heritage Record Trace Certificate lists a date of manufacture of March 24, 1958, and lists factory specifications.
