As of 23-20-2009 on ebay:
This mostly restored 1958 Jaguar XK 150S Convertible with overdrive has a complete Gold Crown overhauled engine, SU Triple carburators, cylinders, transmission, brakes, etc. All restoration and/or replacement new parts are Jaguar factory original. New J lights and chrome as well as new wheels and tires. The mechanical components of this vehicle are fully restored. The exterior body has been fully restored, is epoxy primed and only needs the final paint job except for a patch and a little bumper work. The bottoms of both fenders were rusted and they have been partially repair welded with proper parts, the work is not yet fully done. The interior seats (leather) need re-upholstery and otherwise only light interior restoration and paint. The original vehicle data plate comes with the car and all of the numbers match. This vehicle was among the first 5 off the factory assembly line. The convertible top needs replacement cloth. All parts not attached to the vehicle are included. Limited documentation is included with the vehicle.

Sellers description:
1958 XK 150 S Roadster
Recently purchased from a Florida estate. This is a body- off restoration car done approximately 2 years ago with very few miles put on it. Build date on this rare Jaguar is 16 June 1958. The car was a very solid car before being restored and came from the factory with all available options including overdrive. The original color was cream with red leather interior. This is an all matching numbers car. Car has current Florida title and Heritage Trust Certificate.
Look at the pictures and they should speak for themself. There is some damage on the carpet around the shifter that is currently being repaired.

wow - um, ok where to start? Yes the pictures do in deed speack for themselves. If this is matching numbers, and "one of the first five XK150s off the assembly line" then it cant be an "S". MArch 2009 pic shows engine compartment with no cut out for the 3 carb intake manifolds ... when did they appear? Standard 150 body cutout to make a 150S engine bay? The "S" badge has a pretty interesting placement. - Very ruff tailoring and leather choices for interior - sorry but really badly done. Wonder what else one would find? What does the Heritage Trust Certificate tell us? hmmm ....

I was interested to check on this car given comments.
If you look carefully at march 2009 pic it does actually show cutout for carbs.
Whilst I can't state that the "S" badge placement is correct beiong an early car you never know I was under the belief that early cars only had badge on the drivers side.
The ID plate is interesting and is almost certainly genuine factory records on the car state
chassis no S830708DN
engine no VS1151-9
body no F15711
Gearbox no JLS40903CR
colours cream/red/fawn
delivery june 1958.
These early "S" cars didn't have the "T" prefix yet.
So apart from maybe some lesser quality rest work it appears to be the "real mcoy"
terry
PS I have nothing to do with the car and if you are a buyer carefully check all aspects engine number stampings etc.

Auction description:
Sale Le Mans Classic 2023 - 30 june 2023 /Lot 114 1958 Jaguar XK 150 3,4L S Roadster
French title
Chassis n° S830708DN
Engine n° VS1151-9
Coque n° 15711
- Extremely rare 3.4L S Roadster version in left-hand drive
- Equipped with its original engine block
- A large file of invoices and photos
- Numerous enhancements
Its Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate reveals that this XK 150 S 3.4L was sold new in New York, USA, on 27 June 1958 in an attractive cream painted finish, with a red interior and tan soft top. Only 888 3.4L S roadsters left the factory, and left-hand drive versions are even rarer; this example has its original engine block, however, the cylinder head has been refurbished. Its current owner acquired it in the United States at the end of 2011 and repatriated it to France. It then underwent a major restoration between 2012 and 2013, including refurbishment of the bodywork, mechanics, upholstery and electrics. A large file of invoices and photos illustrates the restoration of this beautiful English car. The original gearbox with overdrive, which will be supplied with the car, has been replaced with a Getrag 5-speed gearbox. The beige leather-trimmed cabin features elegant bucket seats (the original seats will be supplied) and the centre of the dashboard has been adorned with precious wood to superb effect. In March 2022, Old Star Garage in Solterre performed a full mechanical and bodywork check, at a cost of €16,000.
With its clever upgrades, this rare XK 150 S is an ideal choice for touring rallies and weekend getaways. Driving this beautiful English car through the countryside to the melodious sound of the legendary 6-cylinder engine is an instant pleasure.
