Ebay item 5/13/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK150-F-H-C-A-GREAT-DRIVER-WITH-A-LITTLE-EFFORT-E ...
Current bid $10,200 reserve not met, 5 bids, 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1958 Jaguar XK 150 F.H.C. project restored as a period correct driver. Original overdrive car, clean California title, but not registered. 95% complete. Runs and drives well. Here’s what he had to say about the car:
The Good Stuff:
The engine and overdrive transmission have been rebuilt, wiring done by Mono Restorations. Generator has been rebuilt. Brakes have been done, stainless steel sleeved calipers (all 4). New master cylinder, rebuilt power booster, new bearings and seals (front). Front suspension. Rebuilt upper bushings, rack boots and mounts, ball joints and rack ends. Alignment done to specs.
Body - original color, new windshield and other glass as needed. New body rubbers and seals (those not installed are included with the car). Door hinges rebuilt. Trunk prop and catches are original and work well. Exterior trim and moldings are mostly original - some have been re-chromed and some are reproduction. The tires are new (bias ply) tubes also. Hub caps and emblems are original.
Interior - Telescopic column and steering wheel restored and working. Door and window mechanisms, rebuilt, installed and working. Trim installed - seat frames and adjustors - restored and working. Headliner bows are there and installed. Front seat upholstery is good.
The Bad Stuff:
Clutch sticks after car sits - disc is relined and has probably not been driven far enough to wear in. Second gear synchromesh is worn (it was unavailable at the time of the rebuild). Tach and overdrive electronics are not hooked up (wiring is there). Interior is not installed. It is there for patterns and to show the missing parts only - with the exception of the front seats. It needs restoration. The heater is there, but it is not restored or hooked up. The defroster ducts are in the spare parts but not installed. And, finally, the starter Bendix kicks out occasionally.
The miscellaneous stuff:
Original Jaguar Service manual (120-140-150) is included - restoration catalogs - with diagrams and part #’s are included. All original Jaguar data that I received is included. The spare wheel (no tire) is in the spare well in the trunk.
Touch-up paint (about one quart) is included. The spare parts are included. The car has not been started or run in the last 2+ years.
