This 1958 Jaguar XK150 was purchased by the owners in 2000 and then raced in that year’s Carrera Panamericana. Under current ownership, it has competed in approximately 60 events and taken eight checkered flags. “Woofee” is powered by a built 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a BMW five-speed manual transmission and equipped with aluminum Dunlop Racing wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a roll cage, a fire suppression system, a Fuel Safe fuel cell, and Koni racing shocks. This XK150 is now offered on behalf of the owners with service records, log books, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in British Racing Green with painted lettering and stick-on decals. The windshield and seal were replaced in 2021.
The car finished behind two 300 SLs at the 2000 Carrera Panamericana, good for third in its class.
Running gear includes 15″ alloy Dunlop Racing wheels, Hoosier Speedster tires, four-piston Girling front calipers with Brembo vented rotors, a custom-fabricated Wilwood rear disc brake setup, adjustable Koni racing shocks, heavy-duty front and rear springs, custom-fabricated aluminum rack mounts, and a heavy-duty front anti-sway bar.
The cockpit is protected by a full roll cage and equipped with two adjustable racing seats, Willans and Sabelt harnesses, a MotoLita steering wheel, a brake bias adjuster, and a fire-suppression system.
The seller tells us that the original owner specified the tartan cloth dashboard, and a Terratrip rally computer and auxiliary instruments have been added to supplement the factory Smiths gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter inline-six was was installed in 2000 and rebuilt by One Eight Zero in 2018. The seller tells us that it has an 11:1 compression ratio and is equipped with balanced rotating assembly, CP forged pistons, custom cylinder liners, custom-ground ISKY Racing camshafts, stainless valves, titanium retainers, ARP hardware, a high-performance balancer assembly, a heavy-duty clutch assembly, a lightened flywheel, and a custom-built MSD distributor and spark box. The engine also has triple SU carburetors, stainless steel headers, an alloy radiator, a Fuel Safe fuel cell, and a 2.5″ exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed BMW manual transmission with a custom-built short shifter.
