Ebay item 9/27/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Note; this VIN was given by the seller, however the auction was for the motor only so little info is known about the car itself. The seller did say the car is for sale.
Auction description:
Local client purchased (2) 1959 Jaguar XK150 2 door Coupe's. He bought the cars with intentions to use only the parts he needs to restore his (1) XK150 he's restoring, focusing mainly on the engine and transmission, and interior/body pieces The owner is selling many of the EXTRA parts from these cars that he doesn't intend to use. BOTH CARS were already in pretty good shape.
It is an original mated engine/tranmission. This auction will include strictly an engine and tranmsission with overdrive features. The steering mechanism is not included. It includes all components available to the drivetrain, that are currently here. It may be short a piece or 2 OR may contain an additional piece or two
All the parts arrived in a trailer. The engine, transmission were together when it arrived. The original matching engine and 3.4 L transmission which has the overdrive function was set in the car for pictures, but will be removed for shipping. Engine number is V-5064-8. This is what your bidding on. Engine does appear to be rather clean. It will need to be rebuilt as it hasn't run in several years.

Ebay item 9/28/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-1959-Jaguar-XK150-SOLID-Body-Chassis-10-000-sp ...
Current bid $3,150 reserve not met, 8 bids 5 days left in auction. Note: the car is on ebay from the same seller as above, no VIN provided in auction however the same picture of the frame is included in this auction.
Sellers description:
1959 XK 150 Coupe. This particular car was part of a (2) car package acquired by a collector with intentions to restore his current (1) 1959 XK150. This is an auction for the complete body (with all glass) & the rolling Chassis + wheels.
This Coupe body and chassis is in nice overall shape, especially when compared to other older XK's you find out there. It underwent an extensive FRAME OFF restore a few years back, with any rusted area cut out and re-welded or replaced. The frame has been stripped, sanded and enameled. It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. It has all reinforcements in place.
-new bulkhead metal
-new floors
-new inner rear fenders
-new side air vents
-new sills
-new trunk floors/spare tire well...and much more
If you have a project xk150 that is sitting from rust, then this auction is for you......Use this "frame" on this car to replace YOUR rusted out XK frame...and the same holds true with the body. simply replace YOUR rusted out XK body and replace it with this one. doing so would increase the value of YOUR investment, and get your car back on the road.
The body is solidly attached to the frame but still has some bolts held out to make it easier to remove if desired.
