Current bid $2,000 reserve not met, 7 bids 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1958 JAGUAR XK150 Coupe
clear PA title in hand

THE CONDITION:
The mileage shown on the odometer may or may not be the original mileage, we simply don't know. Therefore, and in compliance with federal law for cars over 10 years old, the title will state 'EXEMPT FROM ODOMETER DISCLOSURE'

Well, first of all, this car needs a total restoration! The car was hit in the rear, somewhen in the 60's and then stored indoors. It was later sold as a parts car and spent the following years outside. Other than the damage sustained in the crash, there are some bits and pieces missing. I'll get to that in a moment. It is important to understand that the car seems to be all original and that there were no repairs ever made. The build-tag is a bit hard to read but all numbers seem to mach (body #J9142, Engine #V-8519-8, trans#13451-15). I didn't check the trans number but I'm pretty sure it will match.

The hit was in the left rear and did a good amount of damage. The left rear frame rail was slightly kinked but this will be an easy repair once the body is of the frame.

The engine number does match and the motor does run. We put gas into the float bowls and got the car started. It ran for about 4 minutes and sounded good and healthy, with no smoke or noise in the motor! We didn't want to let her run any longer due to the missing radiator.
The automatic transmission is present and the selector lever moves thru all positions but there was no way to test it because of the missing driveshaft. If the mileage is correct, which we sincerely belive is the case, there shouldn be anything wrong with the transmission or the differential. The differential, halfshafts and rear suspension are all there as well. The brakes are all there except for the left front caliper, but they will of course need a full overhaul. Wire wheels are straight but the chrome is done. The window glass is present and good in the doors and one quarter but the other side 1/4 glas is gone (we do have the frame!). The front and rear windows are also MIA. Spare tire is present, so is the (rusty) tank.
Moving on to the interior, you might have noticed that the passengers seat bottom is missing. All the gauges and switches are there. As shown in the last pictures, there are a few parts that are off the car.
The body is a little rough but the hood is great and the doors are fairly nice as well. The hood and doors are worth the reserve! The original wooden floors are gone but easy to replace.
Again folks, this car is VERY RESTORABLE and well worth the effort!

Please remember, what you see is what you get!
YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE CAR RIGHT HER IN PLYMOUTH, PA (Luzerne County)

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
