Car S835683DN shows the same motor number. This entry is from Sothebys 18 years ago and cannot be verified but suspect. Any correction appreciated. Also no record of registration number RSU 65Z can be found.

I believe the correct UK registration was RSU 652; the DVLA lists this as a Jaguar, manufactured 1959, first registered in the UK in June 1989, 3442cc, colour Blue, last UK road tax expired on 1st Dec 1995 - so presumably, either it was sold at the Sotheby's auction on 11th Dec 1995 to a buyer outside the UK, or it has been re-registered in the UK under a different registration. It's more likely that it went abroad in 1995.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
