Basically it is mechanically sound, I drive it all the time.. It starts first turn,

Here is my best assessment of the car

1. Original 3.4 liter matching number engine
2. Engine purrs.. second owner replaced valves to allow for unleaded fuel in early 80's
3. Transmission is excellent and overdrive works
4. Has Lucas electronic ignition (incredible improvement on points)
5. Car has original fan plus additional electric to keep it cool
6. steering wheel is period correct Moto-Lita race wheel
7. Has owners manual
8. I am third owner, all have been here in San Diego County
9. All fluids have recently been replaced
10. All guages work
11. Has original glass washer fluid bottle
12. Brakes work very well
13. wire wheel car and wires are very nice, could use tires though
14. Interior was redone in 80's but all parts appear there and is clean but needs redoing( original color was buckskin/ reddish tan)
15. Has original sun visors
16. chrome is ok not great... have new piece for above front windshield but missing rear window chrome
17. Body is in excellent condition with basic wear... a little rust in each door bottom and floors are great other than a small spot under drivers seat.
18. Paint needs redoing to be perfect, the car was painted in 80's ...original color is light medium green (i believe sherwood green based on original paint in engine area)
19. all lights appear to work and fans, horn does not

This 1960 Jaguar xk 150 special equipment is a joy to drive and deserves to be restored back to original. It could be driven now or restored overtime, it is a prime candidate for full restoration or enjoy as is as i have. I have quite a few spares i have picked up for that convey with it.
