This 1959 Jaguar XK150 fixed-head coupe is a running project that was purchased by the seller’s father in 1972 in Virginia, where it has remained since. It is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in white over worn red upholstery. Features include dual SU carburetors, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, disc brakes, yellow driving lights, dual side mirrors, and adjustable seats. The car was stored for years before a service approximately four years ago included rebuilding the fuel pump and replacing the fuel tank. The rear brake calipers and pads were also replaced, but the hydraulic braking system is not currently functioning. This XK150 project is now offered at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, manufacturer’s literature, service manuals, spare parts, and a Virginia title in the seller’s name, listing it as a 1961 model.

The car was delivered from the factory in Cream and was refinished in its current shade of white many years ago. It features a one-piece windshield, bright trim, yellow driving lights, fender-mounted side mirrors, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders. Chipped and cracking paint, damaged and worn trim, and rust around various exterior panels are visible.

The 16″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 165-series Michelin tires that are cracked. A full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor. The four-wheel disc brakes do not currently work, but the seller notes a functioning parking brake. The rear brake calipers and pads were reportedly replaced in May 2020.

The seats are trimmed in worn, stained, and torn red leather. The dashboard upholstery and carpets are also worn. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, lap belts, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, and a folding rear bulkhead. The driver floorboard carpet is missing.

The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an embedded clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 10k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower. The fuel pump was rebuilt and the fuel tank was replaced in 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The seller notes that the clutch functions but is in need of replacement.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a dispatch date of November 17, 1959, to Jaguar Cars of New York, along with serial numbers and colors.

The Virginia title lists a “not actual” mileage odometer brand.
