This 1960 Jaguar XK150 FHC was purchased from the original owner by the seller's father in 1966. The car was regularly driven and maintained until 2010, when the seller and his brother inherited it after their father's passing. This example has reportedly been garage-kept in California since new, and it is powered by a 3.8 liter twin cam inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Described as a mostly original driver that has received some cosmetic refurbishment in the past, this fixed head coupe is sold with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, California black plate, and a clean California title. A repaint in the original black was carried out in the 1990s. Minor blemishes and rock chips can seen from road wear, and the finish could use a healthy detailing but maintains a nice gloss. Knock-off wire wheels show their age with pitting and scrapes, and large chrome bumpers have a number of dents and nicks. Sheet metal looks straight in photographs with no known accidents. The seller points out some pinhole rust on the fins, though the body is said to remain otherwise free of rust. The red interior was partially refurbished and presents well. Newer carpets are clean and only minimal wear is visible on the reupholstered seats. Door panels are in good condition but the rear compartment is in need of new side panels. The leather-covered dash presents well with no evidence of cracking or warping. Surrounding brightwork shows pitting and factory Smiths gauges have been retained. The speedometer and odometer are non-functioning, with the mileage stopped at 77,654 miles. The 3.8 liter twin cam inline-six is believed original and was rated at 220 horsepower when new. It features twin SU carburetors and last received a major service in 2005. Since inheriting it, the seller has changed the oil and driven the car every few weeks. Provided underbody photos depict a solid frame with some corrosion and leaks noted throughout the undercarriage. A custom dual exhaust was added in the 1990s by the seller's father.
