Details
This beautiful car started life in California, from where it was ‘liberated’ in a virtually rust free condition, with low mileage and in running order, complete with its original engine and wheels.

The current owner decided to have the car totally restored by AJC Classics, with no expense spared, and prepare the car to the latest FIA/HTP requirements for Historic racing.

The original engine is in storage and available, whilst the current ‘fresh’ engine took this car to a Top Hat class win last year at Spa.

It has had very little use since restoration and is for sale due to a change of plans by the owner.

This car is eligible for all the top Historic events including Masters Gentleman Drivers Series, Top Hat, XK Series etc. Alternatively, all the original trim is available for this car, to convert the interior back to standard.

A detailed list of the works carried out is available with the history file. See below

1. Built from a American registered “Dry State” XK 150 originally in black 2. All original panels, except under front wing panels, and for installation of triple carburettors 3. New lower ‘B’ posts. 4. Chassis shot blasted & strengthened where necessary and seam welded. Adapted for roll cage and powder coated. 5. Front wooden floor replaced with aluminium plate. 6. Transmission tunnel adapted to 4-speed all-syncro + overdrive gearbox 7. Custom prop-shaft. 8. New radiator fitted and cooling system modified to accept 2nd radiator. 9. Double adjustable Spax shock absorbers fitted in original cases. 10. Upgraded, flattened rear springs fitted. 11. Solid bushes fitted where necessary. 12. Stand torsion bars. 13. Anti-tramp bars fitted 14. Overhauled steering fitted. 15. Aluminium, foam filled petrol tank, connected to original filler. 16. Modern geared fuel pump. 17. All fuel and oil lines are now braided hose with aeroquip fittings 18. Brake flexible hoses are braided with Aeroquip fittings 19. Upgraded rear wheel hubs 20. New discs and alloy brake callipers all round 21. Remote, adjustable bias braking system with servo and dual cylinders 22. Chassis Mounted Full roll cage fitted. 23. Perspex windows (side) fitted. Fronts wind up 24. Body made easily removable from chassis for ease of work 25. Leather dash and door trims re-furbished 26. 2” belts fitted (FIA approved) 27. 3.8 litre sigma engineering spec engine fitted, Gas flowed head, Ross -Racing pistons, Fully Balanced, triple SU, XK150s spec, K & N filters. 28, Showed 300bhp on Sigma Engineering rolling road 29. 7 ¼” Cerametalic clutch (allows more slip at low speeds)

Correct UK registration was 611 UXR, I believe. Last taxed in UK in April 2008, any news since then?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
