Description:
This is a rather interesting example as it was originally shipped to Casablanca, Morocco. It must have been quite a sight on the roads there in 1960 and would have been one of very few XK150s over in North Africa at the time. The heritage certificate confirms that the car was built as a left hand drive coupé in black with a red interior, exactly as it is presented today. The engine number also matches the heritage certificate. Our vendor purchased the car from a friend who inherited the car around 10 years ago, but the car was stored in a barn in France and it wasn’t collected until 2023! The car was covered in dust but had clearly been stored in a nice dry environment. Once cleaned, it was clear that the quality of the paintwork and panel gaps were excellent and we are told it was in excellent structural condition too. It has been through some gentle recommissioning and now starts and runs beautifully. The car is presented in lovely condition, with room for some improvements to take it to the next level and is offered to auction without reserve. The car is supplied with a NOVA certificate, so all UK taxes have been paid, but it is not currently UK registered. Consigned by Fraser Smith
