Ebay item 5/4/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-/181734484839
Opening bid US $25,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This car was built in the late 1980's into a vintage race car by longtime Jaguar enthusiast in Ohio. Car was campaigned all over the east coast and scoring many victories. About 5 years ago the car was taken off the track and converted to street use using many of the performance parts developed over the last 25 years. Car has a 3.4 engine built by Jerry Mong I understand the car has racing rods and many other excellent quality parts in the engine. Three 2" SU carbs. Alternator conversion and power steering has been installed, a little noisy when cold. Original radiator with electric cooling fan. Jaguar E-Type close ratio gearbox. Spax adjustable shock absorber's, upgraded front sway bar. Jaguar XK 150 disc and calipers all around and handbrake. Custom made side exiting exhaust system with muffler. Plastic fuel cell. Interior has vinyl covered seats with 3 point retractable seat belts. I am 6' 4" and fit In the car no problem. Original dash retained. Paint is in very nice condition but does have a few nicks and scratches. The custom roll bar is removable.
This car would be ideal for road rallies or just for spirited street driving, or with some minor changes could be made back into a full fledged Vintage racer.

This 1957 Jaguar XK150 is a left-hand-drive example that left the factory as a Drophead Coupe and was modified for vintage racing in Ohio in the 1980s. Power comes from a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes triple SU carburetors, an MSD ignition module, aftermarket exhaust headers, 15” wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and Spax adjustable shocks. Tan vinyl bucket seats have been added, and the body has been modified with raised sills, altered doors, plastic windscreens, and removable fairings. The car was imported from the US to the Netherlands under prior ownership and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2016. This XK150 is now offered in the Netherlands with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a logbook, a tonneau cover, historical photos, and Dutch registration.
The car is finished in white and features an open-cockpit body with a driver-side roll hoop, raised sills, low-profile doors, curved plastic windscreens, bullet-style side mirrors, and removable fairings. Paint chips and dings are noted around the car.
Chrome 15” knock-off wire wheels wear two-eared spinners and are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. The car has been fitted with power steering, though the pump is noisy when cold. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs, and Spax adjustable shocks are installed at all four corners. Service in 2023 is said to have included lubricating the chassis, repairing the brake master cylinder, and replacing the front brake calipers and pads.
The cabin features tan vinyl bucket seats along with a color-coordinated dashpad and door panels. Bright metal trim adorns the dash and sills, and textured metal panels line the footwells. Three-point inertia-reel seatbelts have been installed.
Smiths instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 1,800 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter inline-six is said to have been rebuilt by Jerry Mong in Ohio utilizing racing-specification internal components. The engine is equipped with SU carburetors, an MSD ignition module, and a finned aluminum oil pan and valve covers. Wrapped headers flow into a muffler and a side-exit exhaust outlet. A plastic fuel cell has been installed, and the radiator is cooled by an electric puller fan. The battery was replaced in 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission that was reportedly sourced from an XKE. The selling dealer notes difficulty shifting into second and fourth gears.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory equipment and identification numbers and indicates that the car was dispatched to New York on January 2, 1958.
A logbook and photos of the car being used on the track are included in the sale.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a country that does not issue them. It is being sold on its registration.

This former XK 150 DHC is a real eye-catcher and a fine sports car to drive. Although the car has a racing origin in America, the car is street legal and has a Dutch registration. This XK 150 racer left the factory as an XK150 DHC 3.4 liter in December 1957. The car received several modifications such as: 3 SU Carbs, power steering, an improved brake system and several racing parts such as tank, main switch and racing pedals. The body work done to the car is aluminum. The hood and trunk lid are original. This car was converted into a vintage race car in the late 1980s by a Jaguar enthusiast in Ohio. About 5 years ago the car was taken off the track and converted for street use.
