THIS JAG XK150 DOES HAVE SOME MINOR MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND COSMETIC ISSUES SO READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR DETAILS.

We are Auto Haus. A luxury and performance automobile dealer specializing in import vehicles. We are located in Yorktown, VA, but we sell vehicles to buyers all over the world and we stand behind each sale.

Behold a true piece of automotive history and artwork. This 1958 JAG XK150 DROPHEAD COUPE is a timeless classic that can be yours for a very competitive price. Our "RESERVE" price is set well below market value so don't hesitate to bid. This is a driver's car that the new owner will be able to enjoy for years to come exactly as it is now. Sure it needs a little TLC to be concours quality, but then you are afraid to drive it so why bother with all that expense and hassle. This Jag is road ready and recently passed our stringent VA State Safety Inspection so you know it's safe. Inside and out this car is in very good condition (especially for it's age) and the pics below are a testament to that. Even the blemishes are minor and don't detract from this beautiful automobile.

We are representing this car for the current (2nd) owner who has been in possession of the car since 1966. He is a local physician who has meticulously maintained and partially restored this car over the years. The car has only been driven on sunny days during the warmer months and only then very occasionally. The miles listed are actual miles.
Mechanically, this car is in very good condition. There is some oil seepage from the valve cover and oil pan, which over the course of several days will create a small and thin layer of oil sheen under the car. There are also similar transmission and rear differential fluid leaks resulting in the same sheen under the car. The engine idles great (although a little high when in neutral) and runs great when driving the car. The only issue is that it will hesitate and sputter when accelerating, but once up to speed it runs great. The automatic transmission shifts right smoothly and is not slipping at all. The Overdrive is inoperable (may just be a bad switch). Other than those items, this car is mechanically sound. The undercarriage is mostly clean (except for the aforementioned leaks around the engine and tranny) and is free of rust. The frame is solid with no rust as are all the components underneath this car. The only area of slight surface rust is at the rear underneath the car where the body and gas tank are connected.

Electrically, the only issues are that the overdrive switch, and high beam switch are inoperable. Additionally, the ventilation blower motor turns but not at all switch settings (it basically only works on the low setting). On the plus side, all the gauges work as do the wipers, exterior lights, etc. That's it for electrical issues.

Cosmetically, this JAG looks great inside and good outside. The body is solid with no rust and there are only a few tiny dings to mention. The Cotswold Blue paint is not original, but is the original color (repainted in 1966). The enamel paint was applied very heavily so over time it has cracked in many places, but mainly on the top sections of the car. I will describe the paint/body issues with a walk-around now: The front bumper is solid with no rust and only very light scratches. The grille looks nice. The headlights are nice, but the chrome trim is slightly scratched. The hood has multiple chips along the center trim from front to rear and some dull chrome at the front and a cracked JAG emblem. The left fender has multiple cracks in the paint that are mostly on top, as well as, a small ding. The left door has tiny cracks on the front and rear edges. The left 1/4 panel has light cracks along the front and on top. The trunk lid looks good. The rear bumper has fine scratches and some tiny rust spots. The right 1/4 panel has some very light cracks along the top edge. The right door has a few small chips by the handle and a couple tiny dings near the side glass. The right fender has some small cracks up by the windshield and some more around the front lights. The chrome mirrors have some scratches and pitting. The glass looks good all around and the chrome spoke Dayton wire wheels look great all around. That's it for exterior blemishes. You don't notice the cracks until you are about 10ft or less away. Overall the car still looks beautiful outside.

Inside, this Jag looks great. The seats, carpet, headliner, dash, and more all look good. There are only a few minor issues that any good interior leather repair guy could easily fix with some dye and/or filler. The driver's seat has some dye wear on the left side and some dye chips and a scratch along the top of the seat. The right rear seat back also has some leather chips in the dye. The dash pad has some leather chips in the dye on the front edge facing the driver, as well as, some crushed padding under the covering on the right side. The hot-cold slider is missing it's knob, the rear plastic window on the softtop won't zip up, the rear view mirror has some delamination along the edge and the weatherstrip along the door sills is cracking. That's it for interior blemishes...all very minor and easily repaired for very little money.

    1959 Jaguar XK 150 Convertible 3.4 Litre

This convertible XK150 has the originality of being very ... original. Delivered new in California in 1958, it was sold to its first owner the following year. He owned it until 1966, when he sold the car to its second owner who kept the car until 2011, just two owners in 52 years, a sort of a record. The colour, a rare Cotswolds Blue is similar to the original one and the new owner may choose to keep the car as is, with its patina, or give it a new coat. The body itself is spotless, no rust, no dents, even the welds are in perfect state. Its interior is lined with red leather that goes perfectly well with the wooden dashboard. Equipped with an automatic transmission and 3.4-litre engine this very original cabriolet works very well, having received proper care and attention. The brakes were redone towards the end of 2012. All taxes have been paid and the car is ready to be registered. It is a great opportunity to acquire this classic Jaguar, the ultimate version of the glorious line of XKs, the most elaborate and the most powerful.
