There are a few anomalies:
1. Engine number is a 3.8 number (the first LHD DHC with 3.8 eng was S838392BW in Aug 1959)
2. Body number is incorrect for October 1958 - it would be about November 1959.
3. Rear light clusters are the later type (the first LHD DHC with these lights was 838458 in Oct 1959)
Can anyone clarify?

I agree with Paul. Engine number slots into a Jan 1960 production, car has a manual tranny now with handbrake on drivers side and no ashtrays on tranny hump in Oct 1958.They were still in the doors in 58. Is there a heritage certificate we can view.
