- Same owner for over 21 years
- Comprehensively restored in the past
- The ultimate evolution of the legendary XK
The car on offer is a very desirable Jaguar XK 150 Drophead Coupe, produced in December 1958 and sold through Jaguar New York. The production sheet, supplied by Jaguar Heritage, informs us that the car is a left-hand driver, delivered new in a red livery and fitted a manual gearbox. It is still equipped with its original engine block of 3.4-liters. Most likely imported in the early 1990s, this XK was fully restored in 1996 before its current owner acquired it in 1997. The scope of the work carried out then was most impressive, with more than 650 000 francs invested at the time (the equivalent of 100 000 € today), and a comprehensive restoration from the striped body was executed for both the mechanicals, as well as the cosmetics. It was during this restoration that several other options were installed, such as the automatic gearbox and a dashboard in burr walnut. It was then repainted in black and reassembled with a beautiful cream leather interior. Regularly used since then, the car was maintained amongst others by Americo Automobile and now has a nice patina. The interior is in good condition, though the inner lining of the hood is torn in a few places. On offer at an attractive estimate, this XK is a unique opportunity to access a real automotive icon.
