Car offered at:
bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-jaguar-xk150s-dhc/
Sellers description:
This 1959 Jaguar XK150S DHC is a non-running project that retains its original 3.4L inline-six and 4-speed manual transmission with optional overdrive. It was owned by the seller's father for 45 years and was stored outdoors on a flatbed tow truck for three decades and now has significant rust. Some components have been disassembled, and a spare engine and gearbox from a MK II sedan are included in the sale. This example is being offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, box of NOS spare parts, and clean British Columbia title in the seller's name.
As specified on the Heritage Trust certificate, the original color was British Racing Green. According to the seller, the rear quarter panels and door skins are salvageable, but repairs are required on the top sections of the quarters and bottom sections of the fenders. The passenger front fender shows prior damage.
Doors are difficult to shut due to the rockers and interior sheet metal condition. Factory knock-off wire wheels are retained.
Interior trim, seats, jump seats, and top bows are included but in poor condition. Floors are rusted out, but the plywood floorboards and chassis are said to be intact. Much of the interior sheet metal aft of the firewall will require replacement. 39,176 miles are indicated on the odometer.
The 3.4L inline-six (#V6529-8) remains under-hood and is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive (#JLS43384JS) and match the JHT certificate and data plate. The car comes with a spare 3.4L engine and 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive thought to be from a MK II sedan.
