Ebay item 7/5/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-150-1960-Jaguar-XK150-3-8-Litre-DHC-overdrive- ...
Current bid $21,600 reserve not met, 10 bids, 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This original two owner 3.8 Litre Drophead with factory overdrive just removed from THIRTY YEAR’S in storage.
-67,561 original miles on all original matching number engine
-Two owners
-Last registered in 1978-1979
-Factory manual with overdrive
-Original color: Cotswold blue
-Heritage Certificate
This incredibly original car was removed from storage and has recently had the following service completed:
-Flush fuel, coolant and clutch system
-Install new fuel pump
-Rebuild carburetors
-Rebuild clutch slave cylinder
-New timing chain tensioner
-New coolant hoses, oil pressure flex hose, thermostat choke switch
-Replaced manifold studs & gaskets
*receipts for all work
The current condition of the car is as follows:
The engine is incredibly strong and sounds super smooth with over 40lbs of oil pressure @ idle. The automatic choke works and the car can idle while the temperature remains incredibly cool. The transmission and clutch operate but will need to be bled. The car will need brake rebuilding to be road worthy. The car has had one old repaint. Original ID tag, washer bottle, Triplex glass, head paint (original metallic blue, only on the 3.8 litre 150s), and wiring loom are in wonderfully untouched condition. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a matching number 3.8 litre XK 150 drophead. With some work you can drive as is or have a fantastic and rare original candidate for a concours restoration.
The Jaguar has a clear NY State transferable registration/title.
