Sellers description:
I put a battery in after it was sitting for two years. She started and ran like a dream. Own this extremely rare classic that will never go down in value! This is a rare 3.8 Liter, Left hand drive, originally 4 speed, and numbers matching car. Now for the rest of the story.....

I traded a car for this awesome XK 150 last week. The gentleman I got the vehicle from was in poor health and moving to a better climate to help with his arthritis. The battery was dead and he hasn't started the car since he became ill, two years ago. He wanted everything gone and I landed on this car. This is a good oppurtunity to buy a beautiful perfectly running XK 150, at the fraction of the price of one that's completely restored. You aren't going to steal it, but you should get a really fair price. I've looked all over the web and I can't find one in this condition. By "this condition" I mean the others currently available are either a pile of rusty parts, or one that is completely restored pushing $100k and even way beyond. If my research is correct.

If you're reading this you probably know a lot about this car and it's history. In case you need more detailed information there is plenty out there on the web. The car photographs well, but the paint job is 20 years old. The interior of the car looks fantastic. The car has been sitting for the last two years. I put a new battery in, and she fired instantly. I drove around for a while and topped her off with fresh gas. Everything on the car is in proper working order. I checked all the guages, lights, blinkers, wipers, all windows, and all is well. The car goes through the gears smoothly and handles great. The motors sounds wonderful. Other than a few spits and sputters at first, it needs nothing except possibly a complete service. Remember it has been parked for two years... I checked the entire car for bondo, and there isn't any bondo on this car. I got a $20 car wash and took the pictures. I verified that this is a matching numbers 3.8 liter. The previous owner rebuilt the head and it isn't original. I DO HAVE the original head. It's in great condition, and has always been garage kept. The wheels aren't original, but I DO HAVE the original wheels. The rear window is missing the chrome, but I DO HAVE a replacement piece. The only area with rust is the tire well, but I DO have the replacement piece. The guy added A/C, but that could easily be removed if you're a purist. It was done well and doesn't look tacky in the car. There has also been a fan added for the radiator. That was done for those 105 degree Georgia days and because of the A/C, the fan was added to keep the A/C ice cold. THIS IS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR

NEW PARTS AND RECIEPTS FROM 2007 to 2008

1. New gas lines
2. New plugs
3. Rebuilt Head
4. High speed modern starter (I believe I have the original)
5. now a 5 Speed transmission with Jaguar bell housing, Tremec world class
6. Front end rebuild
7. Pertronics electronic ignition
8. Carbs rebuilt
9. All hoses, Plug wires, and belts replaced
10. New brakes all the way around
11. new shocks
12. etc. etc. etc.

There are receipts for most if not everything mentioned. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but basically with a service, this car is ready to roll.

OVERALL
The car would make a excellent candidate to fully restore as there is not any rust and EVERYTHING is there, and then some. The car would also make a great car for someone who wanted to maybe just paint and service her. She's ready to go, you will have a beautiful classic either way, and make a great return on your investment one day. You can't go anywhere in this car without drawing a crowd. It blew my mind when I first stopped for gas and it was filthy and on a trailer. I had six people standing around my car hauler within seconds. If you've already read this far, I'm sure you already know that.

Extras
You can see in the pictures that the guy was a Jaguar freak. I have a bunch of 1960 shop manuals and books from that decade. I also have a mint 1959, 1960 vintage advertisement for this car. I have many receipts. I have two containers of assorted parts. The original wheels with fairly new Michellans. I also have a few more modern books regarding this car and restoration. If anyone is interested for a extra charge I have a spare motor that he was going to rebuild for fun. That's not my idea of fun, but to each his own. Call and we will work that out. I was told that some of these manuals and the advertisement actually may have some signifacant value. I have no idea,, either way they are going with the car. I also have the covers for the rear jump seats. I even have the original Jaguar key chain for the car.

Negatives
The paint has lost some luster like I said it's over 20 years old. The roof actually has some cracking in the paint. The rear passanger jump seat has a small tear in it($80 repair).

Positives
The car blows people away just as she sits. The car has no rust and NO BONDO! The interior is ready to roll as it sits. The leather, headliner, tires, rims, dash, and all rubber look great. The car runs fantastic and is mechanically sound. Nothing is missing from this car and the fact is you have extras. The chrome looks great and other than a few areas that need some buffing it's ALL there. I have receipts, title, manuals, and books for the car. The leather looks amazing. The original wheels aren't wet in the photos. I waited for them to dry before I took the pics. I can't think of what else to say, except let the pictures speak for themselves.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
