Make Jaguar XK150 3.8 Litre Drophead Coupe

One of only 125 produced, this wonderful late 3.8 litre Drophead Coupe was sold new in March 1960 via New York to the first owner, a Mr. D. French III. Later being brought back into Europe in the 1990s, the XK enjoyed a body-off restoration by the German Classic Car centre in Singen before being used for a number of events. Since being completed the XK took part in the 1999 edition of the Mille Miglia and other light rallies, and in the current ownership has benefitted from a bare metal repaint. An estimated €190,000 was spent in total over a 15 year period.

Beautifully finished in Masons Black with a Parchment leather interior, this is a stunning yet highly usable example of the classic Jaguar XK. The Jaguar is offered with a photographic record of restoration works, Dutch registration and RDW documents, and Jaguar Heritage certificate.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
