This 1961 Jaguar XK 150 is a rare representative of the model’s final production year. In fact, only 2,672 XK 150 drophead coupes were produced during the entire 1957-61 run of this series.
This lovely Jaguar is powered by an advanced 4.2 litre inline 6-cylinder engine to give this car maximum power and the driver a more thrilling experience. The ride is like no other, thanks to a proper 4-speed manual transmission coupled with the smooth-running engine and the practical drivability of power disc brakes standard on all four corners.
Features include dual SU HD6 carburetors, a starting carburetor and the 4-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive.
Dashboard has the Smiths instrumentation framed in the proper gray surround. Also included are rear jump seats, telescoping steering column, interior courtesy lamp, locking gas door and day/night rearview mirror.
This stunning classic has always been maintained professionally. The body-on restoration shows laser-straight panels. The paint and interior are perfect in every way, and just a few of its luxurious options are bucket seats, leather-trimmed dashboard and white wall tires.
The black body and paintwork continue to show extremely well with plenty of luster and excellent bright work and chrome. The biscuit leather interior and leather-trimmed dash contrast the exterior beautifully and are in pristine condition.
This classy drophead coupe is truly a remarkable car, both visually and in the way it performs on the road. According to Motorsport.com, “A classic among British sporting classics, this is a notch or two above the rest where charisma is concerned and can be used ‘fuss free’ on today’s roads.” We wholeheartedly agree.

This 1960 Jaguar XK150 SE Drophead Coupe is a left-hand-drive example that is finished in black over beige leather upholstery. A refurbishment under prior ownership involved a repaint, an interior retrim, and installation of a replacement 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six. Equipment includes 16” knockoff wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, twin SU carburetors, a dual exhaust system, and a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023. This XK150 is now offered in Georgia with a duplicate North Carolina title listing the car as a 1961 model.
The car is finished in black and features a beige soft top, a left-side mirror, fender vents, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The left taillight lens is chipped.
Chrome-finished 16” knockoff wire wheels wear two-eared spinners and are mounted with 6.00” whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, the pads for which are said to have been recently replaced.
The 2+2 cabin has been reupholstered in beige leather that extends to the dash pad and door panels. Power windows have been added, and black carpets line the floors.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths and Lucas instrumentation consisting of a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline accompanied by a 140-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 94k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six is equipped with twin SU carburetors as well as three-into-one exhaust manifolds feeding a dual exhaust system. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
