I saw this car at the 2009 Vancouver All British Field Meet. Had a nice chat with the present owner.

Nice to see my car on this site. I've owned it since 1986. My daughters - now 23 and 25 say they remember growing up with this car since it was my only car following my divorce and they came to live with me for a few years. I did some digging on the car's history. A fellow that did the appraisal told me it was one of 11 - and one of 8 that came to the US. It spent most of its life in California - apparently owned for a time by Car Stephens but I cannot verify. From LA and oil guy in Alberta Canada bought it as part of a collection. He ran into money problems and the car came to Vancouver. I bought it from a fellow that wasn't used to fixing things. I've got another 150 - a DHC with a straight port racing head fitted. Kind of an odd combo - but goes like a rocket!

I restored this car and sold it to a chap who used it as a daily driver, he could not fix anything , I was then asked to sell it again ,this time to Steven Arsenault in Vancouver.
The car was imported to Canada by a Calgary chap with two other cars from California , a 140 and an E type , picture showing three cars after delivery to Vancouver.

What a coincidence: my passenger is always squawking at me as well.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
