Owned this car from 1966 to 1969 - was a triple carb - overdrive - 4 speed
but had no S badges on either door - dual exhaust and painted wire wheels - it appears to be an early production - am curious why it had S equipment but no S badges - was it perhaps a prototype or ?

Owned this car from 1966 to 1969 in Louisville KY - bought from a used car lot on Berry Blvd. and traded in @ Tafel Motor's downtown in January 1969

Had three 2" SU carbs - 4 speed, with 2 speed electric overdrive - dual exhaust and 4 wheel disc brakes, and painted wire wheels - White exterior w black leather interior - all of the service invoices from several vendors refer to it as a 1958 XK150S - appears to be an early production - am curious why it had S equipment but no S badges - no sign of body work - was it perhaps a prototype or ?

Any help appreciated

The first T ots was 28 August 1958, T 831221,

The first S ots was April 1958 S-830336

Without a Heritage Certificate the T claim for 830761 cannot be verified.

also the triple carb engine could be a transplant replacing the original 3.4. two carb.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
