Current bid $20,000, no reserve, 28 bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Vin # T831417DN
32,358 total miles since new
I have owned this XK150 S roadster since 1964 and it was only driven 4 years. It was last driven in 1972 and carefully disassembled for restoration, but the work was never begun.
While not rust free, it is far better than most similar cars for sale.
XK150 S Roadster has been stored inside all of its life and has never been damp or disturbed since 1972.
Needed rust repairs include:
Boxes behind the door striker plates
Battery box areas
Below the door hinges
Frame and inner structures are solid!
Following parts are missing due to theft at an engine shop:
Complete cylinder head with manifolds and carburetors
Crankshaft
Fuel tank
I have described this Jaguar XK150 S Roadster as best I can and listed what is missing. Car is being sold as is.

This is an exceptional example of an XK-150S that is one of the most sought after XK Jaguars. It is a very special Jaguar with believed to be only 32,433 original miles on the odometer. It had been stored away since 1974, preparing to undergo restoration, but was never completed until just recently. This XK underwent a no expense spared, nut and bolt restoration to a high level by Jaguar professionals, and is as fresh as they come. Included in the restoration process: the vehicle was documented, stripped to bare metal, metal finished, all body parts and chrome were fitted to the car while in metal, it was prepared for primer, sealer, paint, base, clear coat, color sanded and buffed to a fabulous finish. All systems have been gone through and the engine was rebuilt back to proper specifications. The clutch system and hydraulic system were restored and the car received all new rubber, and a complete new wire loom. The radiator, gas tank, and windshield have been replaced, and the suspension and rear end have been restored; and the brite work was re-plated. It even comes with a NOS exhaust system that is really nice. The car received a complete new proper tailored and fit interior in the correct materials, as well as a new top trimmed and fit. Dressed in an elegant color combination of opalescent dark green, with a biscuit interior, and coordinating top and boot, she is absolutely stunning! The XK is accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate, tools that are built into the car, and the S-type updates that were utilized in the building of the 1959 models. This is an investment grade vehicle that is ready for your enjoyment or to start the show season. An XK like this example is for the discerning collector who demands excellent quality, and a superb driving experience with no excuses or disappointments!

This 1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4 S is an open two-seater that was built on September 25, 1958 and reportedly placed into storage as a partially-disassembled project around 1974 when the second owner passed away. It was sold in 2004, after which a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was carried out. Acquired by the current owner in 2016, the car is one of 888 roadsters powered by a triple-carbureted 3.4-liter XK inline-six. The engine was rebuilt in 2013 and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Service in 2019 included rebuilding the carburetors, replacing the freeze plugs, installing new ignition wires, and flushing the brake and clutch fluid. Finished in metallic dark green over a biscuit leather interior, this XK150 OTS is now offered on dealer consignment in East Haven, Connecticut, with a tool kit, owner’s manual, model-related literature, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean California title.
The body has been repainted in clear-coated metallic dark green in place of its original Carmen Red shade. It was reportedly stripped to bare metal prior to being refinished, and the seller notes rust repairs were carried out behind the door striker plates, below the door hinges, and in the battery boxes. Brightwork was also re-plated. 16” chrome wire wheels with knock-off hubs were factory equipment on S models, here mounted with Dunlop Road Speed RS5 tires. Disc brakes are equipped all around. A biscuit soft top was added in place of the factory black unit and can be seen in the raised position above.
The interior was reupholstered during the refurbishment using biscuit leather, though the cabin was originally finished in black. The interior is now also equipped with biscuit carpets, door panels, and dash padding, along with a black 4-spoke steering wheel. Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The 5-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 400 of which have been added since the current owner’s acquisition.
The 3.4-liter DOHC XK inline-six is equipped with three SU HD8 carburetors, which gave the S model an output of 250 horsepower when new. Shifting is through a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The engine was rebuilt in 2013 using a replacement head, which was machined, resurfaced, and fitted with new valves and valve seats. Additional new components included 9:1 compression ratio pistons, rod and main bearings, oil pump, timing chains, and tensioners. The crankshaft was ground, the flywheel was resurfaced, and the connecting rods were reconditioned. The engine was balanced following the rebuild. The clutch and hydraulic system were also refreshed at that time, and a new wiring loom, radiator, and fuel tank were installed. According to a previous advertisement, the original cylinder head, crankshaft, and fuel tank were lost to theft at a shop.
Stamping VS 1436-9 is shown and matches the Heritage Certificate, confirming originality of the engine block.
Service in January 2019 included rebuilding and adjusting the carburetors, as well as replacing the freeze plugs and intake manifold gaskets. The brake and clutch fluid feed lines were also replaced and the system was flushed. New ignition wires were installed, and the handbrake was repaired and adjusted. Invoices from the 2013 engine rebuild are included in the gallery below.
The suspension and rear end were reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment and can be seen in additional underside photos in the gallery. A new exhaust system was also installed.
The Heritage Trust Certificate lists the build date and dispatch to the US in October 1958, as well as the original colors and component numbers.
