This Jaguar XK 150 is an original factory built S. Most of these cars are coming from the United States and have therefore a miles indicator. This is quite unique as this car was newly sold in 1958 to mister Alexis Laihaut in Belgium. The dealer who supplied this car was the Belgian Motor Company in Bruxelles. An even nicer fact is that this car has been nut and bolt restored keeping the originality in mind. The car still has the original color scheme as it had when it left the factory. According to the Jaguar Heritage Archive, this specific example has been delivered in Carmen Red with a black interior and a black softtop. Amongst that, the Jaguar still has its original matching number engine, and engine head. The S stands for Straight port engine head. This special engine head was developed for the XK150S models and as the name implies had the ports straightened for better gas flow. It was fitted along with 3 SU carburetors, a 9:1 compression ratio and a lightened flywheel. This specific example with chassis number T831869DN is a very impressive example and more important, it is a very rare original 3.4S! It is relatively easy to recognize an original S model if we decompose the chassis number. The T prefix indicates an original S mode 83 numbers show that it is a Left Hand Drive OTS model DN suffix indicated the fitment of an overdrive Then off-course the engine is important. An original 3.4S engine can be recognized with a VS number. This specific example has engine number: VS 1720-8 where the last 8 in the chassis number shows the compression ratio. The Jaguar 3.4S is undeniably one of the world?s fastest classic cars, but amongst that also a very comfortable car to use for holidays. Because of the overdrive, it is a car which can bring you on a very relaxed way towards a holiday destination somewhere in a warm area. This specific example is an extremely nice example. It has been extensively restored in the Netherlands but not really used afterwards. The Jaguar is completely nut and bolt restored. Every screw has been taken apart. Most of the time, the restoration projects do not have the best quality, but money was not an issue and therefore one had chosen for a very strong and hard project car. Although the donor car was extremely hard it still was an amazing job to bring this car into its current condition. Specific parts have been send away to specialists, so the engine for example has been completely rebuild at a specific Jaguar engine specialist. From underneath, the Jaguar is almost as nice as the body and the interior. It is an amazing car which is also driving superb. It can happen that a just restored example has to set into its rubbers and is therefore a nightmare to drive but this car is exactly the opposite. It is a fantastic driver. We can write all sort of stories about this car but if you take a careful look at the pictures you can see how well this car has been restored. The Jaguar has nice door fittings, beautiful chrome, an extremely nice interior as well as engine bay and most important, it is a factory built 150S! The Jaguar XK150 was introduced in May 1957 in Fixed Head Coupe, Drophead Coupe and Open Tourer form replacing the XK140 range. All cars used the XK140 chassis but this time the bodywork was of a much more modern appearance and for the first time featured a one piece curved windscreen. Inside the vehicle the walnut veneer on the dashboard and door cappings had been replaced with padded leather trim. Mechanically one of the main changes to the XK150 were the Dunlop disc brakes which were used both front and rear as opposed to drums which were fitted to the XK140. The Jaguar XK 150 is because of its improvements from the XK 140 the best driver from the XK range. We drive the XK 150 quite a lot ourselves as well as an XK 140 in different rallies as the Mille Miglia. The increased space as well as the four wheel disc brake system make the XK 150 a fantastic driver. We can imagine that this car will be used on a daily base. The Jaguar XK 150 was available with a 3.4 and a 3.8 litre engine. Amongst that, the optional S conversion was available which resulted in an increase in power from 220 horsepower (standard 3.8 engine) towards 250 horsepower for the XK150 3.4S

This particular example of the Open Two Seater was built in 1958 in the most sought-after 'S' version, with a 3.4L engine producing 250hp and offering a significant performance advantage over the base model .
Note that only 846 examples of the XK150S in left-hand drive were built and that most of them were intended for the American market.
The Jaguar Heritage Certificate of chassis number T 831869 DN states that this car was originally delivered by the Belgian Motor Company in Brussels with the attractive option of an overdrive manual gearbox. It was presented in the elegant "carmen red" with a black leather interior and a matching black soft top. Today, the car still has its original chassis, gearbox and engine.
The current owner has meticulously maintained the vehicle for the past 10 years. The engine was carefully overhauled in 2018 by a Jaguar specialist in Belgium, ensuring optimum performance and reliability. All invoices are available on request.
Thanks to the fact that it is equipped with an overdrive, this XK150S is very pleasant to drive on any country road and ready to take you on an escapade. It is equipped with a very useful tripmaster for classic rallies. The car comes with a Jaguar tarpaulin and a cover for the convertible top.
