660859 has spent most of it's life in India, returning to the UK in the early 1980's, it is still in November 2005 awaiting restoration. It appears exptionally sound and solid with little or no rust.

Now based in Yorkshire, under assessment for restoration. Currently compiling the list of missing bits, that will take some time! Chassis in excellent condition engine & gearbox seem to turn OK, all gears available. Body needs much work though. (Accident damage bodged)

Notes provided by John Elmgreen and Terry McGrath from research for The Jaguar XK120 in the Southern Hemisphere:
660859 - XK120 roadster - originally Battleship Grey with Red trim and Black hood. Delivered new in the UK to an unknown buyer to the order of Garware Motors, Bombay. May have been the car owned by Bobby Kooka, Air India
director. Later owned by a royal, Shriman Birendra Sekhar Deo Yuvraj Gangpur. In 1978 transferred to Kumar Tom Roy, then to A.S.G. Sparrow that same year. Went back to the UK about 1980 and later owned there by David
Barnett of Scotland and then Neil Precious of Yorkshire. Regd in India ORN7, ORN2827, GANGPUR7.
