    Ebay item 7/11/21

    www.ebay.com/itm/194214757522

Current bid: $25,100 no reserve 19 bids, seller ncecascade

    Seller's description:

Selling my late husband's 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster.

This was a restoration project that he had worked on for many years until a sudden illness.

He wrote out a list of what he had finished on the car:

Body work completed in primer. Doors had been on the car and he removed them for final painting.

    New clutch/pressure plate.

Rebuilt engine with hardened valve seats.

Engine has been test run in car, but not for a few years.

    Rebuilt suspension

Rebuilt brakes but need to be bleed

    SS Exhaust

    New exhaust manifold porcelain

New wiring harness (not yet installed)

Lots of re-chromed pieces including brake handle, taillights, windshield stanchions, etc.

New biscuit and red real leather seat covers. bottoms installed, one back installed.

    Re-chromed seat frames

Some matching red vinyl upholstery for trimming

New floor boards not yet installed

Restored instrument panel not yet installed

    New tan top

    Original Jaguar hood emblem

    Fender skirts in primer

XK120 motor but not matching numbers

When purchased, the car had an XK140 engine in it. He found and rebuilt a correct XK120 engine and installed that in the car. The extra XK140 engine (G8xxx-x) is included in the sale as is a second 3.4 Liter Mark I engine (KF5xxx-x).

Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate - car originally black with red/biscuit interior

    Originally Los Angeles car

Odometer reads 3174 but the actual mileage is unknown

There is proof, however, that this is indeed the car that left the factory with engine W2301-8 and thus matches the title.

In 2007, Neal received Record Trace Certificate Number 28816 from the Jaguar Heritage Trust that shows the car was built Oct 18, 1950 with engine number W 2301-8 and chassis number 670985.

Car is at my home in Franklin (Milwaukee), WI.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
